Rutland County Council was the venue for the Leicestershire Police Authority and Leicestershire Constabulary

Policing the future public engagement event 16th June 2011.

Titled meet the Chair and Chief

The event was very well attended, we heard all the facts and figures, good and bad, questions were asked about corruption, parking, poaching, farm thefts and much more.

Inspector Monks gave some detail of the police's recent success after catching armed poachers from Yorkshire.

A landowner said armed poaching was serious and there is not a day goes by without him finding a leg or something shot to pieces in Pickworth Woods.

The biggest killer in the county are the roads.
