This evening Rutland County Council approved outline planning permission for the above.
The proposal is to build a 200 square metre shop, carwash and six pumps on the site originally wanted by Sainsbury to build a supermarket.
Whilst waiting for the start of the meeting I observed a new face in at the council table, Oakham Town Councillor Alf Dewis. He was busy chatting to Councillor and staff, When the Chief Executive is present she orders members of the public to remain in the public seats. Although I am pretty sure she would have been happy to relax that rule for Alf.
