Sunday May 20th to Sunday June 2nd
Rutland is such a beautifully rural county to visit, especially if you appreciate walks with stunning views and an interesting history. This is what Rutland Walking Festival wants to embrace; with a full programme of different walks, including health walks (maximum of 1hour long) and a more substantial walk ranging from 3 to 11 miles.
The first week (20th - 26th May) is launched at Ketton Sports Association, where there will be 3 walks of different lengths setting off - this promises to be a great social event, with refreshements available after the walk. The rest of the week continues with a variety of walks around England's most rural county - see the website for more details.
The second week (Sunday 27th May - Saturday 2nd June) consists of Walking the Rutland Round in 7 days - a fantastic 64 mile route around the county borders.
