Saturday 19th May 2012 from 10 am to 2pm in Whissendine Village Hall.
The “Made in Rutland” craft fair is different to other craft fairs, as the stall-holders
will be selling hand-made items which are made in Rutland, giving people a chance
to buy locally and reduce their carbon foot print at the same time.
The spring craft fair is raising funds for Whissendine Rainbows and Brownies through
selling fair-trade tea and coffee, home-made cakes and raffle tickets.
The craft fair is the idea of two local women Jill Fenby-Taylor and Penny Stimpson
who wanted to give people a very local experience, providing other crafters like themselves
with a new opportunity to sell locally, but at the same making it a relaxed experience with
a café feel, somewhere you can sit and chat, enjoy a cup of tea and think about things
before deciding what you would like to buy.
Everyone is welcome to come along as entry to the craft fair is free; you just pay for
what you buy. Rutlanders and visitors are invited to enjoy shopping for locally made
items in a relaxed atmosphere including:-
> Fire Pink mini embroideries and fab big flowers
> Heartcrafts handmade jewellery & cards
> Butterflies and Roses pin boards & candle tea cups
> Paws Doggie Bags handmade dog & cat treats
> Chris’s Upholstery & Sewing aprons, chefs hats & furniture
> Flirty Gertie silk painted scarves & original knitted designs
> EcoClick Photography beautiful & original prints
