Barleythorpe is a 'Restraint' village something Rutland County Council
seems to forget. the village does not have a parish council,
Rutland County Council takes advantage of this There is a parish meeting
residents complained at recent planning meeting. They said they were
not consulted about the new football ground. The senior planning officer
said they were. went on to quote the letter, despite this he could not
remember who it was sent to.
Barleythorpe is a mess and Conservative Cllr Terry King is happy to see the village
become one big housing estate which is really an extension of Oakham
He also supports the swift destruction of Barleythorpe Hall, for further
housing development.

Permission has been granted to build more homes with poor access.
I am sure residents will be pleased to see their wheelie
bins lining the main street.
