Crimestoppers offers reward of up to £5,000 for information on murder of Uppingham man 12 years ago

Independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person/s responsible for the murder of an Uppingham man 12 years ago. [26 July 2012]
Clifford Clarke, 56, also known as ‘Shakey’, was discovered in his kitchen on High Street East, Uppingham, on Sunday September 10 2000 with multiple stab injuries.
He had suffered repeated stab wounds to his back, neck and head at his home.
The investigation into this murder has been reopened by police, and Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person/s responsible for this crime.
East Midlands Regional Manager for Crimestoppers, Sue Langley, said: “This was a very high profile case at the time and shocked a lot of people in what is a very tight community.
“It is this tight community that I am appealing to, and anyone else that might have information on this crime, to contact Crimestoppers anonymously so that we can bring this case to a close over a decade after the crime occurred. We only want to know who you are, not what you know.”
