I am told the staff will not be throwing old coins
at the LLoyds TSB busas it passes.
I have heard many moans from local traders who are very unhappy about the disruption
they expect throughout the day. Many also feel the relay is just one big commercial
circus and has detracted from the purpose of the torch relay.
For Oakham which has a driving population that would like to see most shops
open their doors to cars the 7.00am parking restrictions are a killer for trade.
Rutland County Council received complaints from traders after the
rehearsal earlier this year because they failed to remove the yellow cones.
