At last nights Rutland County Council's Planning Meeting
We were treated to another show from the Councils Jester, Fool or Idiot, I don't really know how to describe Conservative Councillor Mr Cross. when he first appeared on the council he added a sense of eccentric humour to the proceedings. Now it has become an irritation, not at all funny and his
sluthernly style of conduct I guess is acceptable to any old style Tory...
A letter was read out by the chairman, this was sent in by the vice chair who was objecting to the application.
We were told the Rutland Tourist Committee had no objections who ever they are.
Cllr Vernon (Young modern style conservative) and the legal eagle had a job keeping the old style Tories in order. I can only assume at times, Cllr Vernon must feel totally bewildered when it comes to controlling the conduct of some of her fellow Tory Members.
For examples I have already mentioned Cllr Cross and his childish behaviour and then there is the Coke swilling Conservative Chairman Cllr Parson, with all his years of experience he turns to the legal officer and asks "legal eagle do I need to declare I am a farmer"
the whole show reminded me of a old peoples residential home for residents with dementia and Cllr Vernon had popped in to entertain and stimulate the poor residents. Then I remembered this was a council meeting!
There were deputations from the public.
