Victoria Hall Oakham awarded £7,000 Big Lottery Fund (BIG)

The Trustees of The Victoria Hall have been awarded £7,000 from the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) to fit folding doors into their Rutland Suite Ballroom so it can offer improved facilities to the community.

When Cllr Maureen Dodds reported this at the last Council meeting I wondered how the hall pulled this one off. Most small community groups like Oakham Table Tennis club, can't afford the charges and use halls outside the town, this leaves Victoria Hall unused for just over 50% of the year.
