Councillor Charles Haworth ungrateful to Jubilee Sponsors
At this evenings Oakham Town Council meeting, Cllr Charles Haworth repeatedly showed how ungrateful he was to the corporate sponsors of his Big Jubilee Party,
He Said he was unlikely to gain sponsorship for his proposed big party he wants to hold next year for a cost of £8,000
He said large national companies had given such small donations for this years Jubilee Party it was not worth them giving as he could do very little with such small donations.
I thought his comments were a disgrace and I don't think I was the only one in the room to think the same.
Cllr Maureen Dodds said a lot of small donations added up to one big donation. I agree with that comment.
Cllr Dodds went to explain Oakham Carnival relied heavily on small donations.
Cllr Haworth in his childish and thuggish manner said "The defunct carnival" he went on to say "and there will never be another carnival" at this point the chairman Alf Dewis stepped in and told Cllr Haworth to shut up.
He continued to repeat his claim that the small donations were a waste of time.
