Morcott Turbine Rutland County Council Planning
I sat at a council planning meeting and watched as Councillors approved an application from a farmer
to site a second wind turbine at Morcott.
We now read in the local press Conservative deputy leader, councillor Terry King and Conservative Councillor Edward Baines along with a Conservative young apprentice and the Conservative Jester have called the planning application to full council so it can be looked at again.
How can this happen? the Councils planning committee has full legal powers to grant planning permission.
We are often told by Conservative leader Roger Begy the planning committee is like a court of law.
So how can two Councillors just because of their absence demand that decision is overturned?
using the support of to fellow Conservatives who voted for approval.
I know the rules do permit a referral to the full council but this normally before an application is decided.
This should be an interesting case for appeal.
