A heritage rail service has been arranged to cross Harringworth Viaduct on Summer Bank Holiday Monday 27th August, it will be top and tailed by Great Western Pannier locomotives 9600 and 7752. Two return services are running from Melton Mowbray to Corby. Standard class fare is £25 for adults and children (5-15 years) £15. Depending on the service lunch or afternoon tea are available.
The Harringworth Viaduct is the longest masonry structure spanning a valley on the British railway network, it features 82 arches and is a fine example of Victorian railway engineering..
