This one is a bit of a mystery, I was told the owner of Berridges Food and Wine was opening this new outlet.
In direct competition with his former business partner (legal title Company Secretary) who owns Oakham Wines, after the business relationship broke down.
Speaking to the owner of Oakham Wines the only comment he would make is the new shop is not his.
I spoke to the owner of Berridges and he made a false claim, "The shop belongs to Otters?"
Rutland County Councils Licensing Application names the owner of Berridges as the applicant for the new
premises licence.
I am also told the shop will sell a lot of French wine, the owner has made some good contacts in France.
The shop is twice the size of Oakham Wines and has the most awful choice of paint colour for the ceiling,
think red wine... or worse.
