A local Green Community Group approached the owner of a piece of waste land
between Rutland Radio and the railway line, seeking use of the land for a community
garden project. It appears they were turned down. I am not sure why? the piece of
land has remained unused for years and often it is quite an eyesore full of rubbish
just like the flower beds outside Rutland Radio.
I contacted Mr Murray to ask why he had refused the use of this plot?
I also asked if he had another suitable plot that could be used for a temporary
community group project?
He kindly responded via e-mail, the use of 'present time' gives a glimmer of
hope.
