Distraction thefts in supermarket carparks
Rutland LPU has been made aware of a Neighbourhood Link crime alert from our colleagues in Lincolnshire that we would like residents in Rutland to be aware of.
This is a Lincolnshire alert message.
"Its come to our attention that a Green Astra partial registration Mark of T903 with three males described as possibly Eastern European origin, well tanned and all well built approx 5’6” tall are targeting supermarket car parks and engaging with customers asking directions to Luton Airport and pick pocketing the customer while they are distracted. The latest incident occurred in Bourne on Saturday 3rd November."
Rutland LPU request that you please be on your guard if approached by these males when using carparks in Rutland and contact Leicestershire Police on 101.
