Rutland County Council Suspends Loss Making Live @ The Museum

Live@ the Museum

Live@ LogoAfter many great seasons delivering comedy, theatre and music at our 188 seat venue and seeing performances, including comedian Jack Whitehall and writer Gervais Phinn, not to mention seeing our audiences dancing the night away to the tunes of Elvis and Abba, we are now taking time to reflect on what is next for the Live@ programme.

Rutland County Council  Suspends  Loss  Making  Live @ The Museum
For a number of years  Rutland County Council has attempted to
hide the losses the Cinema, Theatre and Venue made.
This figure runs into many thousands of pounds of public money.

The entertainment was always supported by the same old elite group
of councillors and their friends.

I am not sure if the attraction  was the free wine offers often advertised
in the council staff toilets.

I am told the venue is set to close and there are concerns regarding the
equipment that has recently been purchased with public money.

I am told a sound and lighting system was purchased costing hundreds
of thousands of pounds.
