Rutland County Council, Pretending to be Green, The Dangers of the Swooning Bridge, Parking, Photographs
For some time now Rutland County Council has pretended to be be green by introducing a ban
on its staff using its car park if they don't car share.
It then leaves spaces empty and fills many others with pool cars.
The green policy has caused a nightmare for Stamford Road residents and other surrounding roads
every now and again the council attempts to solve the problem by introducing the more parking
restrictions pushing the problem further out of town. Often creating very dangerous situations for motorists.
Like the Swooning Bridge, Catmos Street / Mount Pleasant
Motorists approach on the wrong side of what I believe is a called a blind summit. I can only imagine the shock of the driver who pops over that summit and it greeted by a giant oil tanker or similar large vehicle.
Oakham Mayor Cllr Dewis I believe was correct when he said Rutland County Council has "no parking strategy"
