Hi everyone!
Hope you're impressed with how early we're sending next month's news letter, I must be getting more organised. No chance- I've had to rest up after my knee op so I've had time to kill! We've put together an interesting programme for June so take a browse, hope you can find something to inspire you.
The Wool Room!
It's official - knitting is good for you - so 1st June sees the launch of the Wool Room at Buttercross House. Julie from Knit'n' Caboodle is taking over the dining room with a fantastic selection of high quality knitting and crochet supplies - exquisite yarns, beautiful needles plus tempting patterns and kits. So, Keep Calm and Cast On......
Open from Saturday 1st June.



Coffee Morning
Saturday 1st June, 9-1
We are holding a coffee morning in aid of The Harley Staples Cancer Trust. Come and join us for a cuppa and homemade cakes!
Introduction to Hypnotherapy
Tuesday 4th June, 7-9, £5
More and more people are turning to hypnotherapy for pain relief, insomnia, addiction, phobias, stress, anxiety and depression. John O'Carroll will explain what hypnotherapy can do for you.

Learn to Sew: Make a Cushion Cover
Wednesday 5th June, 6.30-9 or Saturday 8th June 10-12.30, £25
A great project for beginners, fab results guaranteed. Here's a lovely testimonial from a happy customer -Thank you so much for a wonderful workshop on how to make cushion covers, I thoroughly enjoyed it, a lovely relaxed atmosphere, great tutor and as usual, fabulous home made cakes, tea and coffee...all very inspiring! :-)

 Introduction to Chalk Paint
Finishes.
Friday 7th June, 10-1, £65
Come for an inspiring introduction to Chalk Paint
, decorative paint by Annie Sloan. Learn how to achieve 3 different looks: colour aged look, crackle finish and the use of colour combinations. Take home your painted board and the confidence to take on a new project! Bring an apron! Materials, refreshments  and a light lunch included.
Sewing Essentials
Wednesday 12th June, 10-12.30 or 6.30-9, £25
Learn how to make and attach bias binding, sew a button hole and insert a zip. Then use these techniques to make a make-up or sewing bag!
Some sewing experience required.
All materials and refreshments provided.
Learn to Sew: Make a Drawstring Bag
Wednesday 19th June, 10-12.30 or 6.30-9 or Saturday 22nd June, 10-12.30, £20
Learn how to use a sewing machine while making a  draw string bag. Bring half a metre of fabric and 2m of tape or ribbon for drawstring.
Refreshments provided.
Crochet Bunting
Wednesday 26th June, 10-12.30 or 6.30-9, £25
These beautiful triangles make great bunting. A variation on the granny square, suitable for crochet beginners or those wanting to try something new. Some oddments of yarn will be provided or bring your own acrylic, cotton, wool or mixed fibres in 2 or 3 colours, Refreshments provided.



Needle Felted Beads
Saturday 29th June, 10-12.30, £20
Learn how to needle felt beads using wool, then decorate them with merino wool and sparkle. You will make at least 6 beads and be able to turn them in to a bracelet or necklace.
All materials and refreshments provided.
