Shambolic Day One Loughborough Magistrates Court report

The morning was spent waiting as the CPS attempted to make up its mind  was going to proceed with 4 trials. Public money clearly not an issue for the CPS.

By lunchtime the CPS prosecutor had not asked for advice.

It appears my handing in of a letter to Rutland County Council was a breech of my bail. But no action was taken.

I called Rutland County Council from outside.
I spoke to Kate Haworth. PA to Briggs and Begy.

She said Mrs Briggs was not willing to release member of staff and she had no problem with me popping into the council reception. As I entered council property. I realised this was wrong. I said to Mrs Haworth I hope the council wont call the police. I  was told after I handed the letter over on behalf of residents the police were called.

This was described by others as entrapment. I say it was a deliberate malicious act by Rutland County Council.

After lunch I returned to court and found out there only going to be one court trial.

The CPS Prosecutor was late.

We were then told there was no evidence to corroborate the statements on which the charges rely,  the magistrates ordered the CPS to provide that within one week.

Two of the complainants cases seemed to have insufficient evidence and the police have been given
three weeks to obtain any?

I was charged with two new offences.

I have now been charged with a total of 8.

I pleaded not guilty to all.

The two new charges were read out in public court and my bail conditions prevent me from publishing the
names.

I can say I am charged with stalking a Town Councillor. I am rather strangely charged with stalking a
Leicestershire Police Officer, that must be a first?

During the hearing one of Leicestershire Police sat giggling in the public seats, not very professional.

I also learnt DS McDonalds statement will not be used?

I also learnt PC Jo Lloyd has provided a statement and the CPS state this has been withdrawn for editing?
Is that legal?

When it came to the bail conditions some corrections and amendments were made.

The CPS mistakenly accused me of posting photographs of one of the complainants on posters
displayed in the town.

They objected to me having any access to Rutland County Councils reception, so it looks like Mrs Briggs
will have to make a member of staff available to issue and receive documents relating to the Town and County Elections.

Despite no crimes being committed on any council premises the magistrates refused to allow access.
I believe there is a confusion when it comes to the two separate councils.

I was told to return to court on an afternoon in June, this date will be posted to me ASAP. along with the long list of onerous bail conditions.
