Oakham festival has been awarded a grant of 2000 pounds for sponsorship of a fun day event this year.

Looking at the recent arts 4 rutland minutes I would assume they only really needed 1000 pounds?
The council refers to the local government act when awarding grants.
I am sure that act statea that orgnaizations with cash reserves should not apply 4 grants from parish councils
