A Service of Thanksgiving for
Jan Fillingham MBE, Former Oakham Mayor (10th January 1943 - 5th August 2013)
was held at All Saints Church Oakham yesterday (15th August 2013)
The service was conducted by The Revd Alex Aldous, Chaplain, Oakham School
The service was attend by close family and local VIP's such as current Mayor Adam Lowe
and other town councillors.
The High Sheriff of Rutland Trish Ruddle and Former High Sheriff Elizabeth Mills also
attended.

Tributes were given by the Rev Alex Aldous and Jan's son Richard Fillingham

This was followed by the Address & Prayers from Rev Alex Aldous
The final hymn was And did those feet in ancient time walk upon England's mountains green?
This was followed by the Commendation and the Blessing.
The service concluded with a Organ Voluntary

A short burial service followed at Oakham Cemetery Kilburn Road.
