Saturday morning Cllr Joyce Lucas led a ward walk for residents to raise issues.

Cllr Lucas politely greeted me along with the two new Councillors, Haworth ignored me.

Cllr Lucas said she had received one apology and everyone else had failed to respond to her invitations.
No members of the public attended.

During the walk we met a member of the public who stated they had filmed drug dealing on
Royce Recreation Field.

We learned that Cllr Lucas would not recommend the usage of the gym.

The North West ward of Oakham is looking fine.

Cllr Lucas also mentioned that this years Town Council Carol Concert to be held in the
castle be will a ticket only event.

The castle holds 125 people. Cllr Lucas said once she has allocated tickets to people, she wanted to
attend there might be 50 remaining tickets for the residents who are paying for this event, they can apply for tickets on a first come basis.

Oakham Mayor Adam Lowe has pointed out the above mention event is not the Official Annual Town Carol
Concert that will take place at All Saints Church 19th December and there will be no requirement for tickets.

The Carol concert in the castle is the idea of the The Oakham Tourism and Promotions working group.
Membership of that committee is mainly Cllr Lucas and Haworth. I am not sure how a restricted ticketed event promotes Oakham or Tourism? It smells like the Chocolate Shot Glass Event to me.
