After 30 years the shop is closing down on the 1st February 2014.
They retailer will still be trading on-line and they will have a market stall at Victoria Hall
High Street Oakham, each Wednesday starting the 5th Febraury 2014
The owner describes the change as retirement, not sure that is true as she does not look
that old. I would take a guess at the truth is more likely to be the current financial climate
that is effecting all.
The husband a former Tory Councillor lost a lot of allowances (around £17,000) when he lost his seat to
the now UKIP Councillor at the last local elections.
I must point out the following as previously directed by the former councillor
Swans Linens is not owned by him it belongs to his wife and the business
just shared a property.
