Sarah Lawrence, Oakham Drink Driver, Sent to Prison after stabbing man, Judge at Leicester Crown Court Said its a miracle he was not killed.

Sarah Lawrence, 40,

Grampian Way, Oakham, pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and was sentenced to two years in prison at Leicester Crown Court today. She also admitted drink driving and was sentenced to two months in prison, to run concurrently, as well as being disqualified from driving for years.

Judge said it was a "miracle" the man was not killed.

Sarah Lawrence-Dexter, of Grampian Way, Oakham appeared
at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today charged with drinking and
driving and causing grievous bodily harm.

She did not enter a plea to the charges and was remanded in custody. 
She is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday, February 19.

Fortunately the man it is said she stabbed is now out of hospital
or things could have been a lot worse.

Woman from Oakham charged with GBH and drink driving, Oakham Stabbing

A forty year old woman from Oakham has been charged with grievous bodily harm and drink driving following an assault yesterday afternoon (Tuesday February 4).

Officers were called to a block of flats on Derwent Drive, Oakham, at around 12.50pm. A 47-year-old man was flown by air ambulance to the Queen's Medical Centre with suspected stab wounds. He has since been released from hospital.

A forty year old woman from Oakham will appear at Loughborough Magistrates Court this morning

A woman was arrested today after a man was stabbed in a flat, Derwent Drive Oakham.

The 47-year-old man was airlifted to hospital he was taken to the Queens Medical Centre
Nottingham.

Emergency services were called at about 12.40pm after they received a report that someone had been stabbed.

Derwent Drive was closed between Welland Way and Braunston Road until around 5pm
whilst police and forensics carried out their investigations.
