The Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) AS350 Écureuil (Squirrel), Oakham School, Landing & Take Off Video, Perfect School Transport, Frank Bird Aviation
Two old Oakamian's and their parents are using a helicopter this week to attend a English Schools' Cricket Association match. Unfortunately County Cricket, can no longer be played at Oakham due to the blot recently constructed at the side of the pitch.
The Helicopter landed today at 1.30pm on the school playing field just of Kilburn Road.
For all helicopter fans there will be two more chances to catch a look It will return at 9.30am tomorrow morning (Tuesday 8th July) and again at 5pm tomorrow afternoon. On each occasion, it will only be on the ground for around 5-10 minutes.
