Festival of Commemoration - Stamford - Monday August 4th, Broad Street, Stamford 4-9pm

The commemoration of the outbreak of WW1 will culminate with a free, major open air event, The Festival of Commemoration. The event will feature family-orientated performances on the main stage from 4 to 5pm, including music from a Joint Choir of local schools and a drama re-enactment of the recruitment process and drill with audience participation for the children. From 5 to 7 pm visitors can explore a number of tents with displays about the War and life in 1914 and the event will finish with main stage performances from 7-9pm, including, amongst other,s Stamford Brass Band, INK Theatre and Stamford Choral Society.
