UPPINGHAM WW1 MONDAY 4TH AUGUST
Community groups in Uppingham under the leadership of Cllr Ian Salt have worked together to create a memorable evening.
You are invited to remember the Uppingham fallen on the 100th anniversary of the start of WW1. A candlelit procession will make its way from the Town Hall (starting at 10.15pm) to St Peters & St Pauls Church for a commemorative service and (at 11pm) an Act of Remembrance.
During the afternoon of August 4th, a WW1 exhibition on the Uppingham fallen will be on display in the church. At 7.30pm residents can join their neighbours for an optional WW1 supper
**THIS EVENT AT THE FALCON IS NOW FULL AND A WAITING LIST EXISTS** and audio visual presentation in The Falcon Hotel entitled, 'Royal Engineers Tunnelling at the Battle of the Somme'
