Uppingham Town Council seek new Clerk

A  good old fashioned job and highly paid role with little to do, although the position pays considerable less than Oakham.

A similar administration job at Rutland County Council these days would be unlikely
to see a person paid over £20,000 a year.

Town Clerk & Responsible Finance Officer (One role)

Uppingham Town Council is seeking a replacement for the current post holder who  is retiring in March 2015. This is an excellent opportunity to join an enthusiastic and forward looking council, which has “Quality Town Council” status, and is currently embracing the concept of localism.

The position is for a minimum of 30 hours per week.  Days of work will be subject to agreement between the Council and the successful applicant.

The appointment attracts a salary in accordance with NJC Salary Points LC2. SCP 35-38 £29,528  to £32,072 (pro-rata)
