When is Small Business Saturday, Free Parking Not Really Free Parking, When Arranged by Cllr King at Rutland County Council
Shoppers and visitors to Oakham and Uppingham can enjoy free parking after 10am on Saturday 6th December, as part of Small Business Saturday 2014.
It is said nothing is ever free and this is true for the free parking arranged by Rutland County
Council.
Here in Oakham the towns main Car Park in Burley Road will not be free
Rutland County Council is begging Town Council for cash. So in the end it's not free parking
the tax payer will be paying in the end.
Oakham Town Council do not budget for this kind of expenditure. They will decide if they will pay at next Wednesday's meeting.
The report produce by the dishonest Deputy Mayor Cllr Alf Dewis points out his partnership will
be contributing, Cllr King is also a member of the Town Partnership,
