Oakham School Prom 2009 Rutland
2009 was the worse year for the residents of Oakham. Noise levels were probably the worst on
record. I live over half a mile from the location and can remember hearing the noise in the
early hours of the morning not being able to sleep I took my camera along and gatecrashed the prom.
Noise levels from rowdy students and staff appeared to rise each time a generator failed which
plunged the event into darkness.
These days the noise is not so bad although residents do complain about the late night fireworks.
I don't mind the fireworks and you know they won't be exploding all through the night.
