Active Rutland Walking Festival launch
Sunday May 17th
for its sixth year, the ever popular, BIGGER better than ever festival commences with the launch event, as in previous years to be hosted by the Ketton walking group, with 2 featured varied walks of short and medium distances the main menu of the day, walks commencing soon after launch time of 1pm, from our walking headquarters here at "Ketton Sports and Community Centre", Rutland Radio broadcasting pop up radio with Rob Persani and Joseph Begley. Many other other launch day attractions from 10-30am include stalls, sideshows, Nordic walking tasters, Health checks, A Pedometer Challenge and a pre walk warm up at 12-30pm. Ramblers are also doing a 10 mile walk from Ketton on this day, not festival launch related, setting off at 10-30am. Hot cooked meal with dessert for a bargain £5 freely available for all to purchase on the day (please see Andy Bird, Charlie Underwood or myself to order. Tea / coffee for a £1 donation also available, other light refreshments available too! Licenced Bar throughout the day also available for liquid refreshment too!
