Readers of today's Rutland Times would be forgiven if they thought Rutland County
Council had become a dictatorship.
Cllr Adam Lowe our deputy Mayor told the Rutland Times it was up to Rutland
County Council to decide if there would be an election or a co-option after the
resignation of a town councillor.
The Rutland Times have correct the on-line version of the story.
If Cllr Lowe bothered to read notices received and spent less time behaving
like a child then he would not make such serious mistakes. (that comment should
see another costly pointless conduct complaint)
If, by September 22, a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made in writing by 10 electors in the Oakham North West Ward then an election will be held no later than November 25. Such a request should be sent to:
The Returning Officer
Rutland County Council
Catmose
Oakham

.
If no request for an election is made then the vacancy will be filled by co-option
