Oakham Mayor Invites All To Party in the Park This Sunday celebrating the Queens Birthday

Oakham Mayor Invites All To Party in the Park This Sunday to celebrate the
Queens Birthday

Oakham Mayor Cllr Adam Lowe

Leaflets have been distributed announcing the event, which is really just the
start of the Town Councils same old band concerts at the bandstand.
with the added attraction of a bouncy castle and few funfair rides.

The will be a bar, Gin Van and a Pimm's stall which is raising money for
Oakham in Bloom a Tombola raising funds for Marie Curie.

The main organisers gave up organising this event. First Joyce Lucas and then The Mayor
Adam Lowe walked away. They left the event in the hands of capable people but
rather too late in the day, so there will not be 'much more' as stated on
the leaflet. The main stage has been cancelled, because unfortunately
the new team found the people they approached were booked elsewhere. No surprise
there.

The old guard remaining on the council are pathetic, they stopped the
community organising a street party in the town because "nothing should
interfere with Wrinkle Rock" thankfully the church next to Cutts Close
was not hindered and will be holding a tea party at the same time.

The Mayor Cllr Adam Lowe  has organised a car boot sale in Cutts Close but forgot to
ask members of the council or even ask for it to be included in the
publicity. I believe that starts at 9.00am and may run all day.

Despite the lack of Much More....

The mix of music and drink and our Mayors great sense of humour
should make this a memorable fun afternoon for all.
