EON fitting new LED Street Lighting in Oakham For Rutland County Council
People have started to notice that the streets of Oakham are turning white after dark
Rutland County Council is replacing all the lamps throughout Oakham it was a condition
that Oakham Town Council took over paying the Electricity bill a double taxation for residents.
The Town Council has not yet said if there will be an increase in council tax to cover this,
I guess the few Councillors who run the council are considering this.
The town council agreed to pay, if it had not it is highly likely Rutland County Council
would not have lit the residential areas of the town.
