Oakham Town Council Reluctance to Pay For Church Advert Carol Service 2016

Wednesday 9th November 2016 Oakham Mayor Cllr Adam Lowe brought a request to council
asking the council to accept a request from the church to pay for a advert to publicise the town
carol service.
The council refused to support the request as it was felt we should not be supporting just one church.

After the decision was made the Vicar of All Saints Church Oakham wrote to all Cllrs and the council refused to pass on the letter to all Councillors.

Before the start of the council meeting on the 14th December 2016 Oakham Mayor Adam Lowe
read out what he claimed was the let in full to all members, A request was made that the vicars
comments remain confidential. The result of the letter was the Carol Service was no long a joint
service for the council and church.

Oakham Mayor who often forgets the truth told us the Church had not asked us to pay for
any advert and he had not suggested that even if though he had.

Last week I was visiting All Saints Church Oakham and read the minutes of the Parochial Church Council marked as a true record of the meeting for the 15th December 2016.
One minute made interesting reading as it recorded a report to the PCC from the Vicar it records him as stating the reluctance of Oakham Town Council to pay for the advert for the Town Carol Service
and how the church would now need to produce extra leaflets and posters and seek people from
other organisations to read at the service.

The  minute contradicts comments made by Cllr Adam Lowe and the Vicar it shows to me someone did ask and expect the council to pay for the advert.

I personally blame Cllr Adam Lowe for the mess, he is always getting his stories wrong.
Cllr Lowe should never have brought this item to council in the first place and it is appalling that
it has caused the vicar to write and take the action he did, the embarrassing position Cllr Lowe put
put Cllr Joyce Lucas in at her Church (the Methodist) is also very unacceptable, Cllr Lucas was not speaking on behalf of her church,

Before the last meeting Cllr Lowe was siting in the chamber and during a conversation he said I am a Conservative and always have been. In a statement to Wilkin Chapman as part of a costly conduct investigation last year Cllr Lowe complains that in the past I have blogged he was a Conservative,
in his statement to the investigator he states I am not telling the truth and he has never been a Conservative.

His lies continue as he most recently lied in a conduct complaint stating I carried a knife and damaged a notice board neither statement is true.
