9th February 2017 Gross misconduct hearing outcome A Leicestershire Special Police Constable has been dismissed from the Force following a gross misconduct hearing. A public hearing for Matthew Hartshorn was held today (Thursday 9 February) regarding allegations that, between 14 April 2015 and 11 June 2016, he completed and submitted expense claims for mileage (totalling £23.35) which he either knew were untrue or was not entitled to make.
The hearing chair determined he had breached professional standards of behaviour and he was dismissed from his role with Leicestershire Police with immediate effect.
