Rutland County Council Send Oakham Town Councillor Joyce Lucas BEM a Blue Badge For Christmas
Cllr Joyce Lucas writing in the Rutland Times today wrote that she was pleased to receive a gift from Rutland County Council, a blue parking badge for disabled drivers.
Since when is it appropriate for Rutland County Council to gift Blue Badges to Town Councillors?
Surely such gifts undermine the schemes purpose.
It is true not all disabilities are visible, but reading on it would appear Cllr Lucas has received her gift due to old age which is not a disability.
Perhaps Rutland County Council can explain why they think it is appropriate to gift Cllr Lucas a Blue Badge?
