For many years whilst I was a Councillor I pointed out the councils failure to present its audit
reports internal and external to full council. I was continually told I was wrong by Alf Dewis
and Adam Lowe and more recently Michael Haley.
Cllr Adam Lowe even claimed on year the external audit was not a report.
The main reason the past chairman's have chosen not follow the correct procedure legal requirements as shown in the comments made by the current internal auditor was because the report often highlighted the constant failures of the Clerk Allison Greaves
The year Michael Haley took over a s chairman the external auditor reported a serious failure of governance caused by the clerk and the chairman, but that was nothing for the council to worry about?
