I often why Oakham Town Council award contract to companies who then subcontract.
A lot of council ban subcontracting due to the excessive over charging.
The Town Council decided to use Window Flowers based in Slough who mainly work in the
London area.
I wonder if they would supply baskets stuffed with cheap petunias and maybe a couple of other
plants to grand places they list ask there customers. I very much doubt it.
They have charged £1050.00 + VAT for brackets and testing. What utter rubbish they have used the existing brackets and hung the wall troughs on cheap cup hooks.
The Town Council is renting cheap baskets at a high price. Most baskets are hanging with bent rusty wires instead of chains, they are not secured, fortunately the pubs are closed so it is high unlikely anyone will try and rip them down as was the case when they were not secured in past years.
