Rutland County Council #LGBTQ+ Flying Flag for the first time ever 2021 #LGBThistorymonth

Gay History Month Commemorates Gay Men and Lesbian Woman who were held or killed in concentration camps, with disabled people and religious people like Jehovah Witnesses during the war.

For many years I have asked Rutland County Council why they do not mark Gay History month, this year they have decided to fly the LGBTQ+ Rainbow Flag,

This is the first time the LGBT flag has ever been flown officially in the county of Rutland.

Oakham Town Council normally fly the flag in Cutts Close in September for Leicestershire and Rutland Pride held in Leicester for the weekend if they are reminded. For some reason there was a reluctance to add gay history month to their flag calendar.
