Forensic Investigations have been completed in Oakham Rutland, Police re-opened high street. A young man is still being treated in hospital.
A local police office thanked members of the public for their understanding whilst the crime scene was secured. They also point out the problem of many people thinking the tape was a decoration and continually having to be told not to pass it.
Two men have since been arrested, one aged 22 and 21. both remain in custody.

Leicestershire Police are currently investigating an assault reported early this morning on High Street in Oakham. The incident occurred shortly before 1:30 am on Thursday, July 11th.
According to police, two men, aged 19 and 21, and a 30-year-old woman were all allegedly assaulted. One person remains in hospital for treatment.
The police have not yet made any arrests in connection with the incident. The scene on Melton Road remains cordoned off for further investigation, A large grey plastic container is protecting evidence in the road.
Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.

Oakham High Street Closed Due to Serious Incident
Major disruption is affecting traffic in Oakham this morning, Thursday July 11th, following a serious incident on Melton Road last night.
A person was seriously assaulted.
High Street closed: The entire Oakham High Street is closed to through traffic due to the incident.
This means there is:
No access to Westgate or the Bus Station.
B&M Stores can only be accessed from New Street.
Wetherspoons is only accessible for pedestrians from the High Street, not Melton Road.
The Petrol Station in Melton Road is open.
Some of the nearby roads are littered with a large amount of broken glass.
Diversions:
Local buses operated by Bland's are expected to be diverted along Station Road instead of the High Street.
Traffic is being diverted along Church Street.
Police presence: Leicestershire Police are at the scene and have cordoned off a crime scene in the middle of the road between B&M Store and Bills Bar.
Unknown duration: Police are unable to say when the road closures will be lifted.
