Matt Hall, 40, of Park Street, King’s Cliffe, will run for Anna’s Hope, the charity for young people and children with brain tumours.

This will be the first marathon for the director of Rockingham Cars, in Corby. Matt said: “One of my employee’s seven-year-old nephew was diagnosed with brain tumour in December and the charity is supporting the family right now.”

The charity was set up in 2006 by Rob and Carole Hughes in memory of their daughter Anna, who died from brain tumour aged three years and eight months.

Matt said: “I have not run a marathon before but, hopefully, the atmosphere of the will carry me and help me to complete the course.”

Sarah Lawrence-Dexter, 40, Oakham, pleaded guilty to stabbing man and Drink Driving at Leicester Crown Court.

Sarah Lawrence-Dexter, 40, of Grampion Way, Oakham, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm at Leicester Crown Court.

She also admitted drink driving on the same date.

She will be sentenced at Leicester Crown Court on April 9.

Sarah Lawrence-Dexter, of Grampian Way, Oakham appeared
at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today charged with drinking and
driving and causing grievous bodily harm.

She did not enter a plea to the charges and was remanded in custody. 
She is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday, February 19.

Fortunately the man it is said she stabbed is now out of hospital
or things could have been a lot worse.

Woman from Oakham charged with GBH and drink driving, Oakham Stabbing

A forty year old woman from Oakham has been charged with grievous bodily harm and drink driving following an assault yesterday afternoon (Tuesday February 4).

Officers were called to a block of flats on Derwent Drive, Oakham, at around 12.50pm. A 47-year-old man was flown by air ambulance to the Queen's Medical Centre with suspected stab wounds. He has since been released from hospital.

Woman Stabbed Man, in flat Derwent Drive, Oakham, Air Ambulance takes victim to Nottingham Queens Medical Centre, Photographs, Police Photographer in Helicopter

A woman was arrested today after a man was stabbed in a flat, Derwent Drive Oakham.

The 47-year-old man was airlifted to hospital he was taken to the Queens Medical Centre
Nottingham.

Emergency services were called at about 12.40pm after they received a report that someone had been stabbed.

Derwent Drive was closed between Welland Way and Braunston Road until around 5pm
whilst police and forensics carried out their investigations.
