Castle Donington Wakes

The Wakes is a street fair with large thrilling rides for the brave-hearted, plus ones for the younger generation and some for those in-between. There is a wide variety of game stalls to test your skill plus a variety of food kiosks - hot dogs, toffee apples, candy floss, etc.

The right to hold the Wakes was granted by King Edward I to Henry de Lacy on 26th May 1278. Castle Donington's Charter is one of the oldest charters in existence.
