Changing Connections: Shaping the Future of Community in Rutland

Changing Connections: Shaping the Future of Community in Rutland

Rutland residents are being given a unique opportunity to shape the future of their local communities.  Changing Connections, a project delivered by the Rutland County Council and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, is asking: What groups would you like to see in Rutland?

This initiative aims to establish and support a diverse range of community groups across the county, catering to a wide variety of interests and needs.  Whether you're passionate about arts and crafts, eager to explore new hobbies, looking for a fitness community, or seeking support for specific challenges, Changing Connections wants to hear from you.

The project recognises the vital role community connections play in enhancing both mental and physical wellbeing. By fostering robust local networks, Changing Connections aims to create a stronger, more supportive environment for everyone in Rutland.  Their mission is clear: to connect people with local groups, services, and each other, building resilience and community around those who need it most.

Now is your chance to make a real difference in your village.  Do you feel there's a gap in local services? Is there a particular activity you'd love to see offered in your area?  Perhaps a support group for a specific issue close to your heart?  Changing Connections is actively seeking your input.

Let them know what you'd like to see in your village, and they will work to help make it a reality.  This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the vibrancy and wellbeing of your community.  Don't miss out – share your ideas and help Changing Connections build a stronger, more connected Rutland.
