Cllr Alan Walters Complains on Twitter "I can't get in Oakham Town Partnership"
Oakham Town Partnership is a pointless non democratic members only club
run by The Deputy Mayor Cllr Alf Dewis and Tory Deputy Leader of
Rutland County Council.
Both not interested in any public opinion or business input.
They were responsible for what has been described as Oakham's worse
late night Christmas Shopping Event.
They will not listen to suggestion for change.
They stash away cash to reward individuals like Sarah Outen they have for
a long time planned a party for when she completes her around the world trip.
This will not be a public event.
Most of the partnership funding has come from the public purse.
Cllr Alan Walters has only just woken up to the issue most of us have
known for a long time, The partnership is corrupt and not at all transparent.
Rutland may be a small county but it has a extremely large number of committees
and partnership like this that take its membership from the same pool of people
who won't let anyone else in.

Why does a FB search for Oakham Town Partnership lead to a group advertising meeting single girls and guys?
The answer to this is: because the event is run by a friend of the council who happens to run
the quality and vintage markets in Oakham and Stamford.
