David Blanksby Vice Chair Of Oakham In Bloom Co-opted onto Oakham Town using incorrect name
No member declared an interest even though most would know Mr Blanksby.
The Town Council for many years provide financial support to Oakham in Bloom
and regularly appoint members to its committee.
The Mayor first referred to him as Mr Selby and then Banksby throughout the
co-option process.
Mr Blanksby could not be bothered to attend last nights meeting.
Cllr Alan Walters said "I am not overly concerned at the slight mispronounced
name as they were all very different and it is was absolutely clear who was who"
I would guess anyone who was looking at this from a legal perspective would
suggest getting a candidate name correct is very important?
Oakham Town Council tell me the applicant gave the wrong name on his application.
