Graham Carey Former Rutland Council Employee and Coventry City Council critical of my conduct?
Really Mr Carey after you resigned from Arts for Rutland after you sent me a filthy rude emails
I thought you had move on, now I see you are posting critical comments about me on the
son of a former Oakham Mayors Facebook page.
I could accept your comments about my conduct if you had not lost you job with Rutland County
Council and then Coventry City Council due to your own poor conduct.
One of the first news articles relating to your conduct at Coventry City Council:
Council officer suspended
BY COVENTRY TELEGRAPH
A SENIOR Coventry council officer has been suspended in a controversy over a Christmas do.
It is understood that he went for a drink with staff and as they were chatting he warned them to be careful about their relationship with councillors.
Someone took exception to his remarks, although it is not known whether it was a member of staff or a councillor.
The officer is Graham Carey who is head of democratic services.
He is suspended on full pay.
Mr Carey, who is middle-aged and lives in Leicestershire, only moved to Coventry recently after working for Rutland County Council where his responsibilities included handling complaints about councillors' conduct.
The matter is understood to have flared up after Mr Carey talked to his staff during pre-Christmas drinks at a city centre pub near the council house.
It is understood he warned staff not to get too close to councillors.
Someone complained to the council's chief executive Stella Manzie who ordered an investigation.
Rumours are flying around council offices about what exactly was said and a council spokesman refused to reveal any details.
She said: "We can confirm that we have suspended a member of staff following certain allegations while we carry out a full investigation.
"While this is being carried out we are unable to comment further."
