Rutland Council Seeks Public Input on 2025-26 Budget

Rutland Council is inviting residents to have their say on the Council's budget proposals for the upcoming year. Two pop-up consultation events will be held in local markets, providing an opportunity for residents to discuss their priorities with Council officers.

Oakham Market: Wednesday, January 22nd, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Uppingham Market: Friday, January 24th, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Council officers will be available at both events to answer questions and gather feedback on residents' priorities for Council spending. All feedback received will be considered by Cabinet and Full Council before a final decision is made on the budget.

Rutland County Council encourages all residents to come along and share their views on our budget proposals. Your input is vital in helping us to shape a budget that meets the needs of our community.

The final budget decision will be made by the Full Council at the end of February.

An extraordinary meeting of the Oakham Town Council, Originally a Parks and Planning meeting, it has been changed to consider and approve the budget for 2025-26. The finance committee is proposing a 4.8% increase.

An extraordinary meeting of the Oakham Town Council will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025, at 6:30 pm at the Town Council Offices, Rol House, Long Row, Oakham, LE15 6LN.

Originally a Parks and Planning meeting, it has been changed to consider and approve the budget for 2025-26. The finance committee is proposing a 4.8% increase.
