Jefferson Michael Fadaka: Tory candidate facing jail after admitting he hid fraud conviction from party

Jefferson Michael Fadaka, 34, was handed a suspended jail sentence in 2011 for pocketing £30,000 in housing benefits and income support while studying for a law degree.

A Tory council candidate who hid a conviction for benefit fraud to get Conservative party backing is facing jail.

Jefferson Michael Fadaka, 34, was handed a suspended jail sentence in 2011 for pocketing £30,000 in housing benefits and income support while studying for a law degree.

Jefferson Michael Fadaka received 6% of the vote last May (2014) as a Conservative candidate
when he stood for Enfield Council.


On the 15th May last year
Michael Fadaka, told the Evening Standard  I made “a mistake” by failing to mention the conviction

At the same time another Tory Candidate was also arrested  Jewel Islam stood for a Tower Hamlets
seat he was charged in August 2014 with electoral fraud.
