OBE:

Lesley Young, of Rutland, the chief driving examiner at the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency


MBE:

Mehmooda Duke of Leicester has been awarded her MBE for services to the legal profession and for the promotion of female entrepreurship.

Zuffar, of Oadby, is well-known as a campaigner who helped save the children’s heart unit at Glenfield Hospital. He has also stood for election for the Liberal Democrats in Parliamentary elections and runs a medical aid charity.

Dr David Hill, of Oakham, for services to music in the area

Carol Leeming, of Leicester, who is a poet and playwright


BEM:

 Loughborough Lions president John Cheetham was awarded the BEM for services to the community in Loughborough


Brian Hall, of Ibstock, for services to the community in Ibstock

Firefighter Andrew Parkin, of Shepshed, for services to equality, diversity, inclusion and mental health

Nita Pearson, manager of of Community Centre Playgroup, for services to the community in Thringstone

Rita Sheehan, of Stoney Stanton, manager of the community centre playgroup at Manorfield Church of England School
